How I found my way to weddings:
The first time I watched a bride walk down the aisle, I cried.
In that moment, standing at the back of a room full of people who loved each other, something clicked into place. I had found the work I was meant to do.
In the years since, I've had the privilege of being trusted with some of the most significant days in people's lives. From quiet, intimate ceremonies to larger celebrations that took months of careful planning to bring together. I've worked alongside independent businesses and some of the most respected suppliers in the industry, and every wedding has taught me something the last one didn't.
My background is rooted in hospitality. With over a decade of it, across venue coordination at one of the county’s most prestigious venues and front of house management for a leading mobile catering company, it's given me a perspective I wouldn't trade: I understand how a day is built from both sides of it. The creative and the logistical. The vision and the van that needs to be in the right place at six in the morning. That blend is what I bring to every Wisteria Gray wedding.
“Beth made our wedding day everything we wanted it to be”
As a wedding planner, I work with couples who have full lives, strong opinions and a clear sense of the type of wedding they want but not nearly enough hours in the day to plan it.
That’s where I come in.
How I work:
I don't believe in overwhelming couples with decisions from the very first conversation. We start slowly with who you are, what matters to you, and what you'd like the day to feel like. Everything else follows from that. My planning process is grounded by trust, communication and unwavering eye for detail.
Once we're working together, I handle the parts that are genuinely hard to manage alongside a full life such as supplier research and negotiation, timeline building, venue liaison, budget tracking, and the hundred small things that would keep you awake at night. On the day itself, I'm often there from the first setup call to the last guest leaving, making sure everything runs exactly as it should while you and your family are entirely present for the parts that matter.
My couples often tell me the same thing afterwards; that the day felt effortless. That's not an accident. It's just that the work happened somewhere they couldn't see it.
Why I keep coming back to Shropshire:
I've lived in Shropshire long enough to know that most people outside it have no idea what's here. And honestly, I've stopped being surprised by that and started being glad.
This is a county of walled kitchen gardens and Georgian manor houses, of independent food producers and makers who have been doing what they do for decades. The light on a July afternoon in the Shropshire hills is the kind that photographers don't stop talking about. The venues are characterful without being contrived. And because the wedding industry hasn't quite caught up with it yet, there's still a sense of discovery here that somewhere more obvious simply can't offer.
I want couples to come here and feel what I feel about it. That's a large part of why Wisteria Gray exists.
“You don't know how much you need her to make your day perfect”
What we do best
When we look back through our reviews, there are a few things that keep popping up time and time again. The words our couples use to describe their experience mean so much to us and they’ve highlighted three things we’re especially proud to be known for.
-
Your wedding should feel like a celebration, not a project to manage. We’re there to take care of the timings, the suppliers, the little details and everything happening behind the scenes, so you don’t have to. Our couples often tell us how much they loved being able to switch off, relax and simply enjoy their day and that’s exactly what we want for you.
-
There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes of a wedding, and often, the best sign of good planning is that you never notice it happening. We’re constantly thinking ahead, keeping an eye on the timings, coordinating suppliers and quietly solving anything that comes our way. In simple terms, we are your go-to problem solvers.
-
For us, it’s about more than just making sure everything runs to schedule. It’s about genuinely caring about your day and the people in it. Whether that’s helping with a last minute detail, checking in when you need us or doing something extra without being asked, we want you to feel completely looked after from start to finish. We become more like friends than just suppliers.
Behind The Planner
Get to know me:
I started out at Hawkstone Hall, working as an Events Coordinator at this incredible Shropshire venue. It’s where I learnt the tricks of the trade, picked up plenty of insider knowledge and, most importantly, deepened my love for events, hospitality and bringing people together.
I’m one of the founders of the Shropshire Wedding Collective, created alongside the amazing ladies at The Pearl Button Bridal. It’s a space for couples to discover some of the best wedding suppliers in the county, while also giving suppliers a place to collaborate, get creative and explore new trends through shoots and industry projects.
I am absolutely not a morning person. Give me a late night, a cup of tea and a deep dive into Canva, and I’m very happy. There’s nothing I love more than getting stuck into the creative side of your wedding and perfecting those design proposals into the early hours.
I’ve been lucky enough to travel quite a bit, exploring some of the most beautiful parts of Asia and Central America. Sri Lanka, Bali and Thailand have a very special place in my heart. That said, my backpacking days are firmly behind me. I’ve said goodbye to the hostels and have happily graduated to a four-star hotel!
My family, boyfriend and friends are my everything. Whether it’s a day out, a coffee date, a holiday or simply catching up and sharing the little moments of everyday life, time with the people I love is what keeps me grounded, happy and inspired.
